About the Opportunity

A leading international financial institution is looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join its Electronic Equities technology team in Lisbon.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a mission-critical Referential Data Platform, responsible for delivering a unified and high-quality view of electronic equities data across global banking systems. The platform is central to ensuring data accuracy, performance, and real-time delivery for downstream financial applications.

You will work in a modern and collaborative environment using cutting-edge technologies including Java, Spring Framework, Angular, React, and asynchronous messaging systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high-performance Referential Data Application
• Ensure high standards of:
• Code Quality
• Security
• Scalability
• Performance
• Participate in the full Agile Software Development Lifecycle
• Perform:
• Technical analysis
• Documentation
• Development
• Testing
• Code reviews
• Collaborate with production support teams during releases and maintenance
• Work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements
• Provide L3 Support when necessary

Required Technical Skills

✅ 5+ years of experience in software development

✅ Strong expertise in Java 1.8+

✅ Advanced knowledge of Spring Framework

✅ Strong experience with RDBMS and SQL

✅ Experience with Messaging Systems

✅ Knowledge of:

• CI/CD pipelines
• Maven
• Git
• Shell Scripting
• JavaScript

✅ Experience with:

• Frontend or Fullstack development
• Asynchronous messaging
• Large and evolved codebases
• Agile methodologies and team collaboration

⭐ Previous exposure to Corporate Investment Banking or Cash Equities is a strong plus.
