About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join a highly specialized engineering team working on complex projects within high-reliability industries.
This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in electrical power systems design, analysis, and integration, who thrive in technically demanding environments where safety, performance, and regulatory compliance are critical.
You will contribute to the design and development of electrical systems across the full power distribution chain, from generation and grid connection through plant distribution networks to end-use loads, supporting projects that require the highest levels of engineering excellence and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical engineering deliverables, including:
- Requirements Specifications
- Electrical Load Lists
- Single-Line Diagrams
- Three-Line Diagrams
- Calculations
- Schematics
- Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed according to scope, budget, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Develop detailed procurement specifications for major electrical equipment, including:
- Main Transformers
- Switchgear
- Diesel Generators
- UPS Systems
- Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and suppliers throughout the procurement process.
- Support licensing and regulatory processes, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
- Contribute to the design, analysis, procurement, and integration of electrical power systems across the entire electrical distribution chain.
- Participate in technical reviews, engineering studies, and multidisciplinary project activities.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in high-reliability industries such as:
- Nuclear
- Power Generation
- Process Industries
- Marine
- Oil & Gas
- Military
- Similar industrial sectors
- Proven experience in Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical power systems design.
- Strong experience in electrical studies, including:
- Load Flow Analysis
- Short-Circuit Studies
- Motor Starting Analysis
- Protection Coordination Studies
- Hands-on experience using ETAP or equivalent electrical system modeling and analysis tools.
- Proven experience in:
- Electrical system design
- System analysis
- Equipment procurement
- System integration
- Experience covering the full electrical power chain, from generation and grid connection through plant distribution systems to end-use loads.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering codes, regulations, and standards applicable in the United States and Canada.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Fluent English communication skills.
