Join an Innovative Cloud-Native Product Platform

An international technology organization is looking for a Senior Rust Backend Engineer to help build a next-generation Product Ownership Management (POM) Platform with Digital Product Passport (DPP) capabilities.

This is an opportunity to work on a highly scalable, secure, and event-driven platform that manages digital ownership lifecycles, immutable audit trails, and enterprise integrations. You will be part of a lean, high-performing engineering team delivering cloud-native solutions in an agile environment.

What You'll Do

Backend Engineering

• Develop high-performance Rust-based microservices
• Build services for:
• Digital ownership lifecycle management (claim, transfer, reset, redeem)
• Immutable audit logging and traceability
• RESTful APIs following OpenAPI standards
• Deliver scalable, low-latency, production-grade solutions

API & Systems Integration

• Design and maintain REST APIs and event-driven integrations
• Work with messaging platforms such as Kafka, Solace, or similar technologies
• Integrate with enterprise systems including:
• API Gateways
• Identity & Access Management (IAM) platforms
• Product and Data Platforms
• Ensure reliability across synchronous and asynchronous workflows

Data & Audit Architecture

• Implement ownership state management and lifecycle tracking
• Design append-only audit event models
• Ensure:
• Data consistency
• Concurrency control
• Idempotent operations
• Complete traceability of business actions

Security & Compliance

• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Apply secure coding practices and API protection standards
• Collaborate on IAM integrations including:
• SSO
• SCIM
• RBAC / ABAC

Quality Engineering

• Develop:
• Unit tests
• Integration tests
• API and contract tests
• Participate in code reviews and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate closely with QA teams for end-to-end validation

Cloud & DevOps Collaboration

• Deploy and maintain services in AWS
• Work with:
• EKS
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines
• Improve observability through logging, metrics, and monitoring

✔ Strong experience with Rust

✔ 6+ years in backend software development
