About the Opportunity
We are looking for a highly technical and hands-on Senior RPA Framework Engineer to join a team responsible for building and continuously improving enterprise automation solutions.
You will develop robust automations, create reusable libraries, integrate the platform with enterprise systems and contribute to its technical architecture and roadmap. This role is ideal for someone with a strong software engineering mindset who applies architecture best practices, clean code principles, quality standards and DevOps practices to intelligent automation.
You will also collaborate with architects and functional teams, participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to other developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise automations using Robot Framework and RPA Framework.
- Design reusable libraries, modules and components to accelerate new automation initiatives.
- Automate web, desktop and API-based applications.
- Integrate automation solutions with enterprise applications, REST APIs, databases and cloud services.
- Define and maintain development standards and engineering best practices.
- Implement robust logging, exception handling, monitoring and observability.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate build, testing and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with architects and functional teams to design scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with code quality standards.
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to other developers.
- Troubleshoot complex technical and integration issues.
- Contribute to the evolution of the automation platform’s architecture and technology roadmap.
Mandatory Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Proven professional experience with Robot Framework.
- Practical experience with RPA Framework (rpaframework).
- Experience automating web, desktop and API applications.
- Experience building automation frameworks, reusable libraries and shared components.
- Solid knowledge of REST APIs.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with Playwright or Selenium.
- Solid understanding of design patterns.
- Practical application of Clean Code and SOLID principles.
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience automating build, testing and deployment processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and complex problem-solving skills.
- Professional English proficiency for technical documentation and international collaboration.
- Availability to work on-site in Central Lisbon at least three days per week.
- Residence in the Lisbon area or willingness to relocate.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior software engineer with deep expertise in Python-based automation, Robot Framework and RPA Framework.
You have experience developing reusable frameworks and libraries rather than only creating isolated automation scripts. You understand software architecture, design patterns, Clean Code and SOLID principles and can apply them to create scalable, testable and maintainable automation solutions.
You are comfortable integrating with APIs, databases, enterprise platforms and cloud services. You also bring practical CI/CD and DevOps knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders in an international environment.
A proactive attitude, attention to quality and willingness to mentor other developers will be essential for success in this position.
