Portuguese company hires for hybrid position
📍 Location: Porto, Portugal
⚠️ Only candidates already based in Portugal will be considered
💼 Work Model: Hybrid — 2 days per week in the office

💲Rate Between €2200 - 2500 RV or unipessoal (gross value)

About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to develop cloud-native infrastructure and improve platform reliability through automation and Infrastructure as Code. You will work closely with development teams to support resilient and observable applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code.
- Build scripts, services, and pipelines to improve reliability and developer experience.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure applications are cloud-ready, observable, and resilient.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and support incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- 3+ years in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Programming skills in Java or Python for automation, plus knowledge of Go (Golang).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Ansible. Terraform is preferred; CloudFormation, ARM, or Pulumi are also accepted.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including knowledge of Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).
- Strong understanding of Linux, networking, distributed systems, SRE principles, and production operations.
- Familiarity with Envoy and hands-on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Splunk.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps, and Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban.
Preferred: Foundational or Associate-level certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Ideal Candidate Profile
A proactive, analytical engineer who works autonomously, communicates openly, and collaborates effectively with technical and business teams. A structured approach to troubleshooting and an interest in continuous learning are important.
