Lead a Strategic Enterprise Data Migration to Snowflake

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Expert to lead a strategic migration from IBM Netezza to Snowflake, ensuring data integrity, platform performance, governance, security, and operational continuity.

In this role, you will plan and execute migration strategies, develop ETL/ELT processes, validate migrated data, optimize Snowflake performance and costs, and collaborate with international teams to modernize enterprise data platforms.

The Professional We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Platform Specialist with deep expertise in Snowflake Architecture, enterprise data migration, cloud data platforms, and SQL optimization.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with migration planning expertise, analytical thinking, and excellent collaboration skills to successfully deliver complex Netezza-to-Snowflake migration projects while ensuring scalability, governance, security, and operational efficiency.

You should be comfortable leading enterprise migration initiatives while working with globally distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Planning and executing enterprise data migrations from IBM Netezza to Snowflake.
• Designing migration strategies, migration waves, and cutover plans.
• Developing ETL/ELT processes and optimizing modern data pipelines.
• Converting database objects, including DDL, Stored Procedures, database scripts, and SQL queries for Snowflake.
• Validating migrated data through reconciliation, comparisons, quality assurance, consistency checks, and performance testing.
• Optimizing Snowflake architecture, platform performance, resource utilization, and operational costs.
• Collaborating with BI, Data Engineering, Infrastructure, and Development teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Implementing best practices for cloud data platforms, governance, scalability, and security.
• Monitoring platform performance and continuously improving operational efficiency.
• Producing comprehensive technical documentation throughout all migration phases.

Education

✔ Bachelor's Degree in:
