TECHNICAL LEAD / DATA & INTEGRATION SOLUTION ARCHITECT (HYBRID LISBON)

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Data & Integration Solution Architect to design and evolve solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The role combines architectural leadership and hands-on technical expertise to deliver scalable, secure, and business-aligned data and integration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern end-to-end architectures using modern data platforms, APIs, and event-driven solutions.
• Ensure alignment with security, governance, scalability, observability, and cloud operations best practices.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to delivery teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of cloud platforms and data capabilities, including technical debt backlog management.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture standards, and solution governance artefacts.
• Prepare infrastructure change requests and technical recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience of up to 10 years, including hands-on solution design and delivery of complex technical solutions.
• Strong experience in Data Architecture, Integration, and Modern Data Platforms.
• Solid knowledge of Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Event Hub, Functions, Storage, and Key Vault.
• Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures, APIs, and data integration solutions.
• Knowledge of Data Governance, Security, Observability, and Cloud Operations best practices.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills, with experience in collaborative, global environments.
• Preferred: GitHub, Terraform or other IaC tools, Energy & Utilities experience, GDPR knowledge, Agile methodologies, JIRA, Confluence, and Portuguese and/or Spanish.

A technically hands-on architect who translates business needs into clear architectural decisions and guides teams through complex delivery challenges. Comfortable balancing scalability, security, operational needs, and technical debt while maintaining clear documentation and effective stakeholder communication.
