About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced 2G Optimization Engineer to improve GSM network performance, troubleshoot radio issues, and support customer requirements. The role focuses on Huawei radio networks, KPI improvement, and reliable service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end GSM radio optimization, monitor KPIs, and identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Investigate network issues through root cause analysis, network statistics, OSS counters, and drive test data.
• Conduct parameter audits, neighbor optimization, frequency planning support, and interference analysis.
• Optimize Huawei GSM features and parameters, supporting cluster acceptance, network expansion, and modernization projects.
• Prepare technical reports, optimization recommendations, and customer presentations.
• Collaborate with planning, implementation, and operations teams, participating in technical discussions with customers and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in 2G radio optimization, with strong hands-on expertise in Huawei GSM networks.
• Solid understanding of GSM radio principles, mobility management, and network performance optimization.
• Experience with Huawei M2000, U2020, NetEco or equivalent platforms, alongside GENEX Probe and GENEX Assistant.
• Strong knowledge of KPI analysis, network counters, OSS data, performance management, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of frequency planning and interference analysis.
• English B2+ mandatory, with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Preferred: MapInfo, multi-vendor experience with Nokia/Ericsson/Huawei, knowledge of 3G/4G/5G, large-scale optimization projects, and experience leading technical troubleshooting sessions. French or Spanish is a plus.

An analytical, customer-oriented engineer who can independently investigate complex radio performance issues and recommend practical improvements. Comfortable collaborating with international teams, explaining technical findings, and maintaining attention to detail and service quality.
