Portuguese company hires for remote position
📍 Location: Remote, with business travel to Sweden
💼 Work Model: 100% remote, with availability for assignments in Sweden lasting up to 3 months

About the Opportunity
Join an international telecom transformation project, designing secure infrastructures and services across complex network and cloud environments.
You will contribute to initiatives involving 4G, 5G, Mission Critical Communications (MCx), Public Safety Networks, Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Industrial IoT, embedding security into architecture and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end security architectures for telecom networks, platforms and cloud environments.
- Define cybersecurity frameworks aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct security assessments, architecture reviews, threat modelling and risk analysis.
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend security technologies and vendor solutions.
- Support secure deployment and integration across telecom platforms.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to apply secure-by-design principles.
- Produce HLD, LLD, security blueprints, guidelines and technical specifications.
- Lead or support customer workshops, technical reviews and executive presentations.
- Improve cybersecurity governance and security controls.
Mandatory Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of cybersecurity experience and 5 years in telecommunications.
- Proven experience designing security architectures for telecom and cloud infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of 4G and 5G security standards and frameworks, including relevant GSMA, ENISA, 3GPP, ETSI, NIST and ISO 27001 guidance.
- Understanding of security across RAN, Transport, EPC, 5G Core, IMS, MCx, OSS and BSS.
- Knowledge of cloud and virtualisation security: OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift and VMware.
- Experience with threat modelling, risk assessments, Zero Trust and Defence-in-Depth.
- Knowledge of PKI, HSM, cryptographic key management, IAM and PAM solutions.
- Familiarity with EDR, SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS and firewall technologies.
- Strong architecture documentation, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate in international and multicultural environments.
- English proficiency at C1 level.
- Availability for business travel and extended assignments in Sweden.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as CISSP, ISSAP, CCSP, TOGAF or equivalent.
