SAP BTP CONSULTANT / SAP S/4HANA (HYBRID PORTO)

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an SAP BTP Consultant / SAP S/4HANA Developer to design, develop and enhance SAP applications, extensions and integration services.

You will combine ABAP, RAP, CDS Views, OData and SAP Fiori/UI5 to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the modernisation of existing SAP developments and their transition towards S/4HANA and cloud-oriented architectures.

Working with international teams, you will support integrations and technical solutions connected to SDM365, Product Compliance and Cudo-related processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance applications and services within SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Build extensions and custom solutions using ABAP, ABAP RAP, CDS Views, OData services and APIs.
• Develop and enhance user-facing applications with SAP Fiori/UI5.
• Support integration between SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP and third-party systems.
• Develop and expose services and APIs for integration scenarios.
• Contribute to solutions supporting SDM365, Product Compliance and Cudo-related processes and integrations.
• Support the modernisation and migration of existing SAP developments to S/4HANA and cloud-oriented architectures.
• Analyse technical requirements and extend standard and custom applications according to business needs.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, testing and maintenance.
• Apply clean code, unit testing and modern SAP development standards.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, integration teams and SAP technical specialists.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Experience developing solutions in SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on knowledge of ABAP RAP — RESTful Application Programming Model.
• Strong experience with CDS Views.
• Experience developing and consuming OData v2/v4 services.
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs and SAP integration services.
• Knowledge of SAP enhancement and extensibility concepts.
• Experience using ABAP Development Tools (ADT).
• Strong debugging and technical problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of modern SAP cloud and extensibility principles.
• Ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Fluent English.
• Availability to work onsite in Porto/Gaia once a week.

Nice to Have

• Direct experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Experience with SAP Product Compliance solutions or related business processes.
• Exposure to SDM365 and/or Cudo.
• Experience integrating SAP solutions with external or cloud applications.
• Knowledge of BRF+.
• Experience with source-code and version-control approaches such as abapGit.
• Previous involvement in migrating legacy SAP developments to S/4HANA and cloud-ready architectures.

You are an SAP developer who combines strong ABAP and S/4HANA expertise with an interest in modern extensibility, integration and cloud development.

You can analyse complex business processes, including subscription and billing scenarios, and turn them into clear technical solutions. You communicate confidently with both technical and business stakeholders, explaining technical decisions in accessible language.

You work effectively across international teams and with external vendors, adapt to changing priorities and manage competing deadlines. You also consider the impact of your solutions on end users, balancing technical feasibility with business expectations.
