JUNIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER (HYBRID PORTO)

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to support the operation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of cloud platforms and production environments. The role focuses on infrastructure operations, incident management, and observability, with opportunities to develop technical skills within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support the daily operation of production systems.
• Help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents following established procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations with guidance and escalation support.
• Maintain monitoring dashboards, alerting rules, and observability solutions.
• Support service checks, deployments, and configuration updates.
• Document runbooks, operational procedures, and known issues, contributing to platform reliability and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional experience in IT, Systems Administration, DevOps, Operations, or Software Engineering.
• Educational background or professional experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering.
• Basic Linux and command-line knowledge, including system administration fundamentals, processes, logs, and networking.
• Initial exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with Docker.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK Stack.
• Ability to read Java, Python, or scripting code for troubleshooting, with an understanding of deployment and operational support activities.
• Understanding of incident management, escalation procedures, structured support models, and service-level objectives; comfortable with Agile, Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Preferred: Foundation or Associate-level certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Linux.
