C-SON OPTIMIZATION ENGINEER (REMOTE ANYWHERE)

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a C-SON (Centralized Self-Organizing Networks) Optimization Engineer to support network automation and performance improvement initiatives. You will configure and assess SON use cases, translating network data into actions that improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize C-SON use cases across LTE and 5G networks, monitoring performance through automated optimization strategies.
• Configure and tune Mobility Load Balancing, Mobility Robustness Optimization, Coverage and Capacity Optimization, Automatic Neighbor Relations, Energy Saving, and Interference Management features.
• Analyze SON recommendations, assess algorithm effectiveness, and validate network improvements.
• Perform KPI analysis and root cause investigations, collaborating with RAN Optimization, Planning, and Operations teams.
• Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and executive presentations, participating in customer workshops and performance reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Radio Network Optimization, including at least 3 years with SON/C-SON platforms.
• Experience with centralized SON solutions such as Nokia EdenNet, Huawei iSON, Ericsson SON, Amdocs SON, AirHop SON, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of LTE/5G, RAN KPIs, mobility optimization, and network performance management.
• Experience in multi-vendor environments, analyzing large datasets and translating findings into optimization actions.
• Familiarity with OSS tools, performance management systems, and reporting platforms.
• Spanish and English at B2+ or above, with strong customer-facing communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Preferred: automation and network analytics, Python or SQL, cloud-based telecom solutions, AI-driven optimization, large-scale network transformation, Open RAN, and next-generation automation frameworks.

An analytical, autonomous engineer who combines practical SON expertise with a focus on measurable network improvements. Comfortable validating automated recommendations, investigating performance issues, and explaining technical findings to customers and multidisciplinary teams.
