DEVOPS ENGINEER MID/SENIOR (HYBRID ALMADA OR AVEIRO)

Portuguese company hires for hybrid position

📍 Location: Lisbon, Almada, Aveiro, Portugal

⚠️ Only candidates already based in Portugal will be considered

💼 Work Model: Hybrid – 2 days per week on-site

🗣️ Language Requirements: Advanced English (B2+), written and spoken

🕓 Seniority: Mid- Level (3+ years)

🚀 Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute Kubernetes upgrades in coordination with client teams
  • Support operations across public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Assess and plan support for future Kubernetes version upgrades
  • Identify, prototype, and implement solutions to reduce overhead in Kubernetes upgrade processes
  • Perform zero-downtime upgrades for Elasticsearch nodes
  • Manage cloud integrations alongside Kubernetes clusters
  • Detect and assess Kubernetes API breaking changes and their impact

🧩 Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud, and containerization projects
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, FluxCD, ArgoCD, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Proficient in public cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP accepted)
